Applied Policy has welcomed Alison Falb, J.D. as Health Policy Director for Pharmaceuticals, effective August 22.

Prior to joining Applied Policy, Alison was a regulatory counsel at the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). During her tenure at FDA, she worked in both the Office of Therapeutic Biologics and Biosimilars, which oversees the development and implementation of regulatory policy related to biosimilar, interchangeable, or other therapeutic biologic products, and in the Division of Policy Development in the Office of Generic Drug Policy, which provides strategic leadership and direction in the development of policies and procedures affecting the regulation of generic drug products.

Alison also previously served as a Senior Advisor at the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Innovation (CMMI) at the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). She led policy development and regulation writing for specialty care and episode-based payment models under the Medicare Access and CHIP Reauthorization Act of 2015 (MACRA) statute and designed and implemented alternative payment models including the Oncology Care Model (OCM), the Comprehensive Care for Joint Replacement Model (CJR), and the Bundled Payments for Care Improvement Advanced (BPCI Advanced) Model.

“I am excited to join Applied Policy,” said Alison, who earned her J.D., cum laude, from Fordham University School of Law and her B.A. in psychology from Brown University. “I look forward to leveraging my education and experience for the benefit of Applied Policy clients, both old and new.”
