April Gutmann is a Health Policy Manager at Applied Policy where she performs research and analysis in a variety of health policy areas with a concentration on durable medical equipment and healthcare services. April regularly performs analysis of coding, coverage, and reimbursement policies from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services and U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.

April has worked in advocacy at a hospital membership organization and at a healthcare research nonprofit organization. She also has experience working in politics and interning on Capitol Hill. Her experience allows her to identify opportunities at the intersection of legislation, regulation, and politics. 

April graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Government from the University of Virginia and received a Master of Arts in Political Science from American University.
