Giana Mandel

giana-cl-smlGiana Mandel is a Health Policy Associate at Applied Policy where she assists with client projects and conducts research on numerous topics with a special concentration in pharmaceutical policy.

While pursuing a graduate degree in public policy, Ms. Mandel interned with a Washington DC. area health policy firm where she analyzed, summarized and became conversant in major payment regulations from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, the Food and Drug Administration, and other HHS Agencies.  Ms. Mandel also attended and reported on Congressional health care hearings and other health policy meetings in the DC. area in support of client relationships.

Ms. Mandel has experience working for Senator Robert Casey of Pennsylvania and has also held internships at Teva Pharmaceutical in Frazier, PA and at a Washington DC. biotech trade association, the Biotechechnology Innovation Organization.

Ms. Mandel received a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and History from the University of Pittsburgh.  She is currently completing a Masters in Public Policy with a concentration in health policy at the Trachtenberg School of Public Policy at the George Washington University.  She is expected to receive her degree in August 2017.
